The D Stearns Ranch started in 2018 by Newcastle Wyoming. Dalton and Dani Stearns raise savanna and commercial goats and cattle. Dalton and Dani are high school sweethearts, who have dreamed of ranching together since they met in 2007. Dalton brought his horse to college with him and boarded "Pedro" at Dani's folks place. Riding every evening together became their routine. Dani went to college in Cheyenne WY and so Dalton followed. The two were married on the Stearns family Ranch in 2010. In 2011 they worked on the 'Jensen Ranch' by Colony, WY. The fall of 2012 both started working at Lake Area Tech in Watertown, SD. Dalton taught Welding and Dani taught Equine Management. Come fall of 2018 they knew it was time for a new challenge and were blessed to purchase the D Stearns Ranch to raise cattle and savanna goats. The best part is being located just a few miles from the Stearns family Ranch inside South Dakota by Newcastle, WY. They have three children; Dierk and Dillon, and Donna. The D Stearns Ranch is a work in progress with plenty of changes happening everyday.
